Appointment scheduling for consultants
Nolizi Calendar / Scheduling guide
A useful booking page answers three questions: what is this meeting for, how long will it take, and when can we meet? Start with one appointment type before adding more choices.
A practical first booking page
For an independent consultant, a 30-minute introductory call is a useful starting point. Explain who the call is for and what the guest should prepare. For example:
Project introduction · 30 minutes
Tell me what you are working on, the problem you want to solve, and your intended timeline. We will use the call to see whether a follow-up makes sense.
This is example wording, not a promise of a consultation from Nolizi.
Set up your availability
- Create your Calendar account and open the setup guide.
- Connect the calendar you use for work and check your timezone. Review the requested permissions before connecting.
- Create an event with a clear name, duration, and meeting location. If you use an online meeting provider, connect it before choosing that location.
- Set the hours you actually want to offer. For example, use 8 a.m.–2 p.m. and 3 p.m.–5 p.m. as two daily ranges to leave time for lunch. Check each weekday separately.
- Preview the booking page and check the available times before sharing its link.
Check the guest experience
Open your public link in a private browser window. Confirm that the title, duration, timezone, and location make sense without access to your account. If you make a test booking, use your own details, check the confirmation and calendar entry, then cancel the test. Test bookings are not customer activity.
Share one clear invitation
Send the link to a client who already wants to meet, with a sentence explaining the purpose: “Choose a time for our project introduction here.” Avoid offering several nearly identical appointment types at once.
Common setup questions
Can I leave a break in the middle of a day?
Yes. Add separate availability ranges for that day instead of one continuous range. Preview the resulting slots to check the break.
Why might a time be unavailable?
Check the event duration, timezone, availability ranges, connected calendar conflicts, and any booking limits you configured. A range ending at 2 p.m. does not mean a 30-minute meeting can start at 2 p.m.
What if a calendar connection fails?
Return to setup and check the connected account. Google calendar permissions are undergoing OAuth verification; some users may see an unverified-app warning. Do not continue if you are unsure about the requested access. Contact support or use another supported connection.
Can an AI assistant arrange the booking?
The AI agent guide explains supported workflows and permissions. The booking API reference includes authentication, availability, and booking examples.
